Caring & Awareness Programs

To some, “the cure” is a race or a even a word to rally behind, it isn't a treatment process of life-or-death decisions, painful procedures or treatments with potential short- and/or long-term repercussions*. Few understand, or even want to know, what patients, their siblings and caregivers have to endure -- for years.

We know. We understand. That’s why we can’t move fast enough to improve the patient experience and support the emotional side of recovery.

We have worked with Cincinnati Children's Hospital and our Dragonfly families to develop programs that help improve the patient experience and meet the emotional side of diagnosis, treatment and recovery, for the entire family. It has been medically shown that a positive outlook can change medical outcomes. For children and young adults who have not had -- may not have -- the opportunity to live their life to the fullest, we must be even more dedicated to providing smiles, activities/event opportunities and quality of life enhancements to help them face the challenges of a life-threatening illness and hospitalization. What's more... we provide support to families until the patient has been 5 years free of their disease. (At least, that's our goal.)

*Side effects from treatment can include: infertility, mental delays, severe tooth decay, heart problems, and more.
